DETAILS
GAIN & TONE CONTROLS
The Totality's dual channel design gives discrete control over each channel, offering a broad pallet of tones without excess tech.
Each channel features independent Tight and Gain controls. The dynamic Tight knob tailors the front-end bass response: turned up, it adds clarity and focus; turned down, warmth and thickness. As the gain level increases, the Tight knob also alters the feel, texture, and responsiveness of overdrive - making it highly adaptable across styles, tunings, and instruments.
The vintage-voiced Channel A stays true to its Pacific Northwest '70s roots, ranging from warm cleans to mild vintage breakup, but with an extended gain range for both cleaner clean tones and heavier sounds not possible with vintage units. The Tight control morphs this channel from fat and warm to bright and clear. Channel A excels on it own or pummeled with overdrive and fuzz pedals in front.
Channel B's gain range dovetails with Channel A, providing light touch-sensitive overdrive at lower settings before departing into high gain. The gain control has a slow smooth taper and is fully usable throughout the entire range unlike many modern high gain amplifiers. On this channel, the Tight control shifts the tonality from thick to articulate and anywhere between, giving you full command over the low-end response and texture with or without a boost pedal in front.
Both channels feature a familiar Treble, Middle, Bass EQ for further sculpting your tone. The discrete EQ sections allow balancing the channel's overall tone, or giving them each their own distinctive EQ curve.
The Totality also features global Presence and Resonance EQ controls to voice the power amp. The Presence adds upper-mid bite, air, and edge; turned down, it yields a smoother, darker tone. The Resonance emphasizes low-end and low-mid thump to fine-tune and compensate bass response for any volume or acoustic environment.
EFFECTS LOOP
A new addition to the Totality and all our amps is a standard foot-switchable tube-buffered series effects loop. The loop is transparent and provides an extremely low impedance for driving effects pedals and long cable runs with ease. The amp's individual Level controls act as channel volumes pre-effects loop, which can be set to balance the channel volumes as well as the signal levels going into your effects.
VOLUME CONTROL & OUTPUT POWER
The global Loudness control transparently varies the overall volume of the amp down to bedroom levels without sucking your tone. And like all of our amplifiers, the Totality is available in 50W, 100W (EL34 or 6L6) and 200W (KT88) versions.
