The Earthling amplifier is our take on one of the galaxy's most elusive guitar tones, known for it's vocal-like cleans, midrange focused guttural crunch, and verge-of-collapse overdrive. The Earthling is available in both a classic stripped-down single channel version as well as the mind-bending-ly versatile dual channel version. Whichever path you choose, you'll find yourself enveloped in the Earthling's Green cloud of tone.
The single channel version features a wide range Gain control that goes from high headroom clean tones to crunch to fuzz-like compressive overdrive with a single knob. Tones are available at any volume with the attenuator-like master Loudness control. Turn it to maximum for non-master volume style operation. The Earthling is tonal shapeshifter, featuring twin 4-way rotary Low & High Frequency Voice controls (L.F.V. & H.F.V.). These controls dictate which frequencies are emphasized for further amplification (or destruction). Whether clean, broken up, or full-bore overdrive, the Voice controls will adapt to any guitar, tuning, pedal, and speaker array. Additionally, the simple yet powerful 2-band Bass & Treble EQ allows global tone shaping. Warm mids, or round low with a glossy smooth top end. The dual channel version adds a new dimension to this vintage-styled beast, with an identical, foot-switchable 2nd channel. This channel features is own Gain, Loudness, and High & Low Frequency Voice controls (The Bass and Treble EQ is shared between both channels). Think of the dual version like switching between two single channel amps with different settings - a multitude of tonal and dynamic possibilities. Like all our amps, the Earthling is available in 50W, 100W, or 200W, and can be fitted with our new ultra-transparent series Ghost effects loop*. *Note: Because of Earthling's unique attenuative Loudness control, it is not the best candidate for the Ghost Loop. Time-based effects (delay, chorus, etc.) will have the same clarity run into the front end of the amp. If you desire a preamp-out or power-amp in, or would like to insert an EQ pedal in the loop, adding the Ghost Loop to the Earthling may still be useful to you!
